Last week, WXYT-FM metrosexual morning drive talker Bill McAllister waged an unprovoked attack on me over comments I made to Freep columnist Rochelle Riley on Twitter regarding her horrendous and transparent Jim Caldwell article.

Of course, Michael Stone’s radio partner cowardly referred to me without having the dignity to mention me by name. It was the usual attack on Joff Mess by mainstream media members …. that I am a “wannabe” because I have a blog.

Nevermind the fact that I am about 1,000 times more influential in the Detroit sports media scene than McAllister, who doesn’t even do a SPORTS SHOW. And the “wannabe” label is tremendous coming from Bill McAllister, who is a freaking wannabe Jay Towers.

Yep, I have been told that this douche bag has modeled his life after the WNIC-FM radio host to the point where it enters “Single White Female” territory, and he has the chutzpah to call ME a wannabe!??!?!??

My sources tell me he dresses like Towers and allegedly dumped a longtime girlfriend to trade-up for his current wife as a result of a Towers introduction.
