In the last month, 97.1 talk show host and noted Five-Tool Imbecile Terry Foster has stated the following on the airwaves of WXYT-FM:

1) The Kansas City Royals were “blown out” by the San Francisco Giants in the 2014 World Series.

2) That 1984 Detroit Tigers player Dave Bergman was a pitcher.

3) He is hoping for a Red Wings/Canadiens Stanley Cup FINAL.

Yes, a man who ostensibly gets paid to talk about sports made these statements. Since you are a sports fan, you probably already know why that Trifecta of Stupidity is absolutely hilarious. Since my mother reads this website, I will fill her in, however ….

1) Kansas City lost to the Giants four games to three in a Best of 7 format. In the bottom of the ninth inning of Game 7 the Royals stranded the tying run at third base. That is what Terry Foster labeled a “blowout.” I am dying to know the adjective he applied to Secretariat’s 1973 Belmont victory.

2) Dave Bergman was a First Baseman/Designated Hitter. Terry Foster will turn 56 years old tomorrow. He was 25 when the Tigers won the series in ’84.

Foster has been covering sports in Detroit since 1982 without interruption. Or since two years before the Tigers barely squeaked by the San Diego Padres in the ’84 Fall Classic.

Yeah, I know the Tigers won that series 4-1. But in Foster’s dyslexic world, that was a nail-biter.

3) The Red Wings and Montreal Canadiens cannot play in the Stanley Cup Final since …. ya know …. THEY ARE IN THE SAME DIVISION.

This “Bachelor”-Tweeting imbecile has no clue that Detroit’s hockey team switched conferences last year.

Remind me again how this incredible dolt didn’t win the Worst Detroit Sports Media Tournament AGAIN this year?

At what point does someone who works with the mental midget become embarrassed?
