UPDATE AT 11:55am

I am so frustrated that Brad Ausmus continues to bat Austin Jackson and his .306 on-base percentage in the leadoff slot that I have now requested that advanced metric genius and former Tiger outfielder Gabe Kapler intervene on our behalf. I can’t take this any longer. Don Kelly — who is less than 21 days away from his THIRD DFA — is batting FIFTH today. The guy has a .292 SLUGGING percentage!!!!!!

I am hoping that Kapler can help us get to Ausmus before it is too late. He has a relationship with Brad and is very good friends with Tigers coach Matt Martin. Help me Obi-Wan Kapler, you’re my only hope.

I have even pulled the Jewish card and sent a cryptic Yiddish missive in the following Tweet. Look, if something doesn’t change in a hurry we are all going to be sitting shiva this October when the Tigers are eliminated from the playoffs.
