I usually try to stay away from low-hanging fruit, “gotcha” moments for main page articles.  For example, I think it is beneath AwfulAnnouncing.com to post a blog when CBS mistakenly inverts a final score. It’s just a way to get cheap web clicks regarding a dumb goof while putting in zero thought.

Hell, I didn’t post anything on the DSR when this city’s #1-rated “sports” talk radio station posted the following on Facebook after Ndamukong Suh left the Lions for Miami as a FREE AGENT!!!!!

Reported trade? My 89-year-old grandma knew Suh left Detroit via free agency. I mean, it was in all the papers.

But, between that idiotic error and today’s 97.1 social media fuck-up, I can no longer remain silent ….

These aren’t MINOR details the FLAGSHIP station for the Wings and Lions is screwing up.

The biggest story to come out of today’s Wings/Penguins game was Petr Mrazek’s strong goaltending a day after Jimmy Howard allowed seven goals against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Yet whoever is running 97.1’s Twitter and Facebook pages posts that Howard had a “strong showing.” Doing what? Charting the winners and losers of face-offs? Playing Candy Crush on his fucking iPhone?

My readers complain when WXYT-FM veers away from sports and discusses topics like light rail, the best burger in town and Ferguson, Missouri.

Welp, this is what you get when they focus on sports!!!! Howard stood on his head today in Pittsburgh and we are still waiting to find out what the Lions got in return from the Dolphins for Suh.

I am holding out hope for Lauren Tannehill.

I guess it COULD be worse though …..
