Fosters (sic) Smokehouse Grand Opening???

First it was the liquor license.

Then it was the pizza oven.

Next, the Board of Health had to clear the joint.

And finally, Fosters (sic) Smokehouse needed a fire hydrant approved.

But after all of the blog posts, delays, excuses and missteps, Monday June 24th was going to finally be the day that Fosters (sic) Smokehouse was to open for business.

So, this afternoon I called the place of business of 97.1’s inarticulate drive-time host to see if they were actually opening after so many false starts.

The phone rang.  And rang.  And rang.  And rang some more.  No voice-mail.  No answering machine.  So I hung up.

Luckily, DSR correspondent Brian Buddie was in the vicinity of the restaurant in Fraser and took the following pictures just a few hours ago.

Does this look like an establishment that is ready to open anytime soon? The place looks like a freaking dump.

And Foster wants us to believe that it was ready to open back in MAY?!?!??!!??

The best part of all this is even if it were to open, the dude that the smokehouse is “named” after can’t even attend. Foster is currently on a cruise. This is what he posted from the ship about today’s “opening.”

(Today is Monday Foster’s Smokehouse should be open for business on 14 Mile and Utica in Fraser.)

Of course, this is the same guy who just the other day wrote, “do not quote me on this.” ON HIS OWN BLOG PAGE.

What an embarrassment.

Will this place EVER open?

The above Fosters Smokehouse advertisement says, “Visit Us.”  Yep.  Visit Us.  Just make sure you aren’t hungry.
