Chris McCosky Called an Ausmus Apologist …. By a CO-WORKER

March 19, 2003. A day that will live in infamy. No, not the date that the second Iraq War started with the “Shock and Awe” initiative, but the precise moment the DetroitSportsRag.com was hatched.

And one of the main reasons we created the DSR was to provide a checks and balances for the GOD AWFUL Detroit sports media and there was no bigger target of ours back in March of 2003 than Detroit News Pistons beat writer Chris McCosky.

And an entire Bar Mitzvah period later, McCosky is still the bane of our existence. The man we nicknamed Officer Barbrady over a decade ago — in homage to the clueless cop from “South Park” — is still providing us fodder to this day.

Years ago, the dipshit humiliated himself on the Pistons beat when he vilified this website for reporting the news that Rick Carlisle was going to get fired and then never apologized or backed down from his wrongheaded stance.

The same dolt who claimed that the Pistons weren’t going to make any moves at the 2004 NBA trade deadline and then literally ten minutes later the news was announced that Rasheed Wallace had been acquired.

McCosky then further embarrassed himself on the beat of the Detroit Red Wings where we weren’t sure if he knew the difference between a puck and a stale, three day old pumpernickel bagel.

Officer Barbrady was then transferred to the Detroit Lions beat until he threw in the towel because it was too much work and he clearly couldn’t keep up with Kyle Meinke and Dave Birkett.

The one constant from this fuckstick has been his overwhelming proclivity to defend whatever local team he is covering at all costs. From Joe Dumars to Brad Ausmus and EVERYONE in between.

This loser has been carrying the water of any manager or coach he has covered as a professional “journalist” for as long as I have been birddogging him so criticism from ME is fairly predictable.

But what transpired Sunday afternoon — in the midst of another Ausmus defense by McCosky — was absolutely hilarious as Officer Barbrady got called out by a CO-WORKER!!!

Yep, George Hunter of the Detroit News had enough of McCosky’s Ausmus apology act and the following Twitter exchange occurred …

“Trolled.” Yep, because everyone who disagrees with McCosky’s blind loyalty to Ausmus must be be a TROLL and not an independent thinker.

But the best was when the News crime reporter called his own paper’s Tigers beat writer a “Brad apologist.”

So, who is going to cover this story in the News because Hunter just murdered McCosky and I think George has a conflict of interest in reporting on it.

Oh and did I mention that McCosky BLOCKED Hunter on Twitter because of this exchange? Hahhahahahahahah.

It would also appear that Mr. Hunter agrees with the DSR’s editorial position that Tony Paul got seriously fucked out of the gig McCosky had NO BUSINESS in getting ….
