We warned the Detroit Free Press that hiring Anthony Fenech to replace John Lowe on the Detroit Tigers beat was a disaster waiting to happen.

But the same people who also employ a fabulist (Mitch Albom) and an unrepentant plagiarist scumbag (Drew Sharp) did not want to listen. Predictably, Fenech’s tenure as Tigers beat writer has been an unmitigated disaster.

Most importantly, you have the guy’s awful writing skills ….

Then, you have the idiot’s OWN admission that he FELL ASLEEP for TWO innings during a Tigers game last September. In the press box.

Not to mention the guy is an absolute liar who advocated that the Tigers “buy” at the trade deadline last July and then denied he ever said it when declaring that “selling” was the way to go. Except we had the tape proving his deceit.

Oh, there was also that time he made a jackass out himself when we had Howard Stern wackpacker Sour Shoes prank him.

Additionally, the moron was too stupid to realize that he had a treasure trove of embarrassing Tweets on Twitter that he never deleted once he became a Freep employee.

And then you had the last week. Last Tuesday, Fenech forgot to show up for his WEEKLY 10am online Free Press chat. How do we know this? Because his coworker and enabler James Jahnke told the world …..

“Hmmmm, trying to track him down …”

Yep, the dummy overslept. When all he had to do was roll out of bed, grab his laptop and answer dumb questions from the comfort of his own bedroom.

But this was surely an isolated incident, correct?

Oh, that’s nice. The walking dead radio station had the derelict beat writer on the air.

Whoops!!! No, they did not!!!! Because even though Detroit Sports 105.1 promoted Fenech’s appearance on the air and through social media, there was no segment with “The Beast.”

In fact, that above Tweet is a screen grab. Because if you go to Detroit Sports 105.1’s Twitter timeline right now you won’t find it.

THEY DELETED IT PROBABLY TO PROTECT FENECH.

Oh brother.

Chalk it up to another “alarm clock management” issue. This fucking guy.

And these are just the Fenech eff-ups that we can DOCUMENT.

One can only imagine the chicanery going on behind the scenes.
