It has been three months since Matt Dery was let go by Detroit Sports 105.1 and we have been looking for the longtime sports update guy/talk show host ever since.

We heard he was giving speeches on how to win in the workplace, but we haven’t been able to find anyone who was swilling to pay for a seminar about victory at the office from a guy who is currently unemployed.

After that failure, we attempted to discover the Deez presenting parenting tips on how to raise your children the “Love and Logic” pyramid scheme way.

But we couldn’t find him selling this product to moms and dads once they found out that Dery’s own kids live in Indianapolis.

In fact, we could not find Ratt Dreary anywhere. UNTIL DSR fan @ciapawn located the Cleveland native in Utica emceeing festivities at the absolute lowest level of minor league baseball last week ….

Oy ya yoy. The former WDFN and 97.1 employee has been relegated to passing out pastries between innings, hosting Hula Hoop contests and calling bagel races

Now, there is nothing wrong with earning a living even if you have to resort to being the Grand Poobah at a ballpark that hosts round robin baseball games between three teams that aren’t even at the level of the New York-Penn League.

I just find it a bizarre juxtaposition to Dery’s comments to me a few years ago regarding Sean Baligian having to “slum it” by working at 96.1-FM Grand Rapids from his house in Northville.

And yes, I am bitter the Tigers can’t beat the Cleveland Indians this season.

Fucking sue me.
