If there is anything you people know about me, it’s that I am a big Detroit sports fan and a huge Howard Stern slapdick. And whenever I can merge those two worlds, I will do it.
Back in July I had the brilliant idea to hire Stern show regular Sour Shoes to assist me in pranking Anthony Fenech and Lynn Henning. If you aren’t familiar with Sour Shoes, he probably possesses the greatest combination of vocal impersonations and relevant content therein in the country.
The man is a god damn genius and that’s no hyberBOWL.
You can listen to the Fenech/Henning audio here.
Last weekend I saw an opening for Sour to catfish Drew Sharp and Terry Foster. You see, longtime national sports radio personality Scotty Ferrall was hosting his Super Bowl shows this week from Las Vegas. More specifically, the dump downtown D Las Vegas hotel which is owned by a Detroiter who advertises on the local sports talk stations.
And one of Sour’s best impressions is Ferrall. In fact, when Ferrall used to be on Stern’s Sirius channel, Sour Shoes would dupe Stern show employees into believing they were speaking to Ferrall.
Here is the REAL Ferrall ….
And here is Sour’s Ferrall impression ….
It’s uncanny.
Anyway, Sour Shoes nailed both Foster and Sharp good.
We will be debuting both pranks calls on the DSR Podcast this Tuesday evening at 5pm. But in the meantime, here a couple of clips to hold you over until then.
