Earlier this year, the DSR conducted our first ever Detroit Worst Sports Media Tournament. Because we have a lot of new followers who might have missed the tourney and the Dirt has a new NxT LvL format, we figured it would be a good idea to repost the final results.
A bracket of 64 participants (after a few play-in games) battled it out for the prestigious title of Worst of the Worst.
After thousands of votes were counted, the field was whittled down to the “Fucked-Up Four.”
Terry Foster, Michael Rosenberg, Jeff Riger and Lynn Henning all won their regions and faced off in the semis.
In the end, Free Press columnist Rosenberg defeated WXYT-FM’s Foster in the Final to earn the humiliating crown.
The embarrassment of getting voted the biggest abortion in THIS GROUP caused NebbishBerg to leave the Detroit sports media scene completely for a gig at Sports Illustrated.
We still have to deliver the trophy to DorkBerg and it won’t be easy since he is now taking out his personal vendettas on a national level.
So, if any of you ever see GeekBerg waiting in line at Zingerman’s in Ann Arbor, please instantly notify Moss so he can ambush “One-Star Amazon.”
The second annual tournament will commence in February of 2013, so take notes so you can be an informed voter when we crown a new journalistic travesty next year.
